Holt Jackson advocates the adoption of electronic acquisition services in the belief that the elimination of duplicate keying in of data reduces costs throughout the supply chain and minimises errors. We are committed to the development and support of electronic standards and our Chairman and Chief Executive is currently a member of the BIC Steering Committee, representing the interests of the library supply sector.
We are able to offer a full range of EDI services, including ordering, acknowledgements, invoicing and Quotes messaging. We support Tradacoms and Edifact standards and can accept documents by all standard electronic means, including FTP or VANs (Value Added Networks).

We have developed our own electronic ordering service HoltJEDI which offers libraries a low cost method to transfer and receive data files, avoiding expensive transmission charges.

We were among the first Library Suppliers to recognise the potential of the Edifact Quotes message as means of making the link between product selection and ordering. This means, for example that details of items chosen on behalf of customers by our Supplier Selection Service can be sent to customers as QUOTES messages, and turned into confirmed purchase orders by the customer's system, without the customer re-keying any data. Other applications could include Chapters showroom visit selections, fiction standing orders, or Choice on the Web orders.

Holt Jackson has considerable experience in working with libraries and library management systems. We believe that developing constructive working relations with library management systems suppliers benefits all partners, and we welcome the opportunity to work with companies new to us.
If you would like more information about our EDI services or would like to arrange a demonstration of HoltJEDI, please contact your Account Manager or e-mail us.
