BookBus |
 Our BookBus Library Stock Selection Service which can be booked in advance, can be used for the selection of our standard weekly list titles, or for collections compiled to individual library specification.
By taking the books to different branch libraries, the BookBus can be a convenient way of selecting stock for those library staff with limited opportunities to visit our showroom, or to travel to library headquarters for stock revision meetings. |

| New Title Approval Service |

 Visiting libraries on a monthly rota, the BookBus is stocked with adult fiction, non-fiction and children's publications. Library staff provide our BookBus driver with information on locations and fund codes for their selection: they then use our hand-held scanners to create orders with quantities. When the selection is complete, the file is downloaded into the BookBus laptop and printed out if required.
Depending on library instructions, the orders can either be processed immediately as firm orders, displayed on Choice on the Web for further editing and/or provided as a Quotes message in order to avoid further re-keying on to library management systems. If preferred the printed orders can be entered onto the library management system and we will process them as normal orders. |

| Special BookBus Visits |

 The BookBus can also be used to support reader development, stock revision or other special projects. Depending on library instructions, we stock the bus with collections compiled to specification in all categories. For example, libraries could invite members of the public to select stock for their libraries or schools, supporting Best Value principles. This service is charged according to stock, location and length of visit. |
