Approvals |
 Holt Jackson provides new title and special subject approval sets covering adult and children's fiction and non fiction, paperback and hardback titles. The collections are wide ranging, in-depth and appropriate for library use.
Our experienced buyers select titles for inclusion from information supplied by publishers in the form of advance information sheets, catalogues, etc., and from publishers' representatives. They ensure that all mainstream, and the majority of smaller, UK publishers present their titles to your buying team.
In addition, we have access to c.70,000 pre-publication records per annum, supplied by Bibliographic Data Services Ltd who provide Cataloguing in Publication records to the British Library. From this extensive range of information we select c.20,000 titles per year, in both hardback and paperback. |

| Standard Approvals : |

 | These range from popular to first year undergraduate level material, though additional specialisms above this can be included in our profiled collections. Price limits are usually between £4.00 and £45.00. Certain formats are avoided, e.g. spiral and ring bindings, workbooks, pamphlets, "odd" sizes (very large/small). Titles from vanity presses are usually excluded as are government publications. |

| Profiled Approvals : |

| | These are compiled according to customer's instructions including parameters such as subject scope, price levels, imprints, category, format, place of publication. They can be provided on a regular or "one off" basis. |

| | Both standard and profiled approvals can be purchased, complete with a standard book covering, from which follow up multiple copies can be ordered. |
