 Chapters is our showroom facility based in Lytham, holding stock suitable for adults and children, public or academic collections. Multiple copies of books are arranged on the shelves by Dewey classification (non fiction) or by author (fiction). This light, spacious and friendly environment is ideal to visit to inspect titles prior to purchase.

 | Non fiction stock is in 21st Dewey order to help with stock revision. |  |

| | Fiction stock is in A-Z author order. |
|
| | Hardbacks and paperbacks are shelved together. |
|
| | Most of the recent approval list titles are in the showroom in multiples. |
|
| | Extensive adult fiction paperback coverage. |
|
| | Children's fiction is arranged first by age group then A-Z by author. |
|

| The following facilities are available to ensure a successful selection visit : |

| | Provision of printouts in advance of the visit. | 
 |
|
| | Subject to prior arrangement with our IT Department, we can accept data in advance of your visit for cross-matching with our database. |
|
| | Access to computer terminals in the showroom for bibliographical checking and for identifying stock held in your library, identifying locations, etc. via the Internet. |
|
| | Genre lists to library specifications during visits. |
|
| | Advance check of up-to-date servicing and any other special requirements. |
|
| | Totals of volumes and values of purchases are provided continuously during the visit. |
|
| | A print-out of all books selected may be taken at the end of the visit and a fully checked picking list will be despatched within 7 days. |
|
| | Priority is given to librarians choosing stock, although Holt Jackson staff will be present in the showroom performing a number of tasks: stock editing, picking stock for orders, assisting customers. |
|
| | Refreshments and buffet lunch available. |
|
| | Transport and accommodation arranged (if required). |

| | Stock is managed by an experienced team of specialist booksellers who use their skill and knowledge to ensure that our stock reflects our customer's requirements in line with changing trends in publishing. |

| | New titles are continuously added to our standard stock to ensure maximum quality, selection and range, with new editions replacing old. |
