The ELiMS Tagging Station is a stand-alone station that will facilitate the conversion of the library into RFID. The station conveniently programs information of the library materials from the database into Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Tags which will then be attached into the library item.
Conversion from bar-code to RFID couldn't be easier. Whether it's an existing bar-code based library or a new library, conversion of each library item is just two steps away.

Place a fresh tag on the antenna and simply scan the bar-code of the item to call out the information. This information will be programmed into the tag instantly.

With the ELiMS Tagging Station, conversion of a library into RFID can be done without having to close the library. Conversion could be done in batches whereby after converting each batch, it could be re-shelved for customers to borrow. The RFID tag embedded in the item will not affect the old system until the whole collection has been converted.
