The ELiMS Stock Management Solution (SMS), which comprises of Stock Management Scanner and Stock Management Software, makes locating and iden
tifying items on the shelves an easy task for librarians.
The solution is designed to perform 3 main functions :

The Search and Stock function are performed by sweeping the Stock Management Scanner across the items to gather their identities. In a stock taking situation, the identities collected are compared with the database and a discrepancy report can be generated with the Stock Management Software.
In situations where a search function is required, whether for a particular item or an item category, the information is first entered into the stock management scanner from the base station, and when a matching item is found on the shelves, a built-in beeper would sound to alert the librarians.
